Frosts was founded by John Frost in 1934 in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. John Frost himself was a keen photographer and helped found the Sutton Coldfield Photographic Society. Frosts operated six retail Pharmacy stores, three of which included photographic departments and one store specialising in Photography. We were the first store in Sutton Coldfield to offer on-site film processing (only the second in Birmingham), and one of the first to offer digital printing in-store.
In 2004, the company was sold to Boots. The photography store, however, was bought out of the original company by the directors of John Frost Ltd, and changed its name to Frosts Digital Imaging Centre Ltd.
We are still a family-run company (now owned by John Frost's grandson Stuart).
